The Services we Provide:
Public Education, Training, Rescue, Rehabilitation, Training & Behavior Modification
Provide Public Education to be a responsible owner
Provide Resources for Spay/Neuter Options, including Ovary Sparing Spay
Provide Vaccination Education and Resources
Participate in Seminars, Events, Special Visits and Fun Demonstrations to Raise Public Awareness
Train Dogs to become Service Dogs (we do this on a limited basis based upon several factors)
Provide funds to other Legitimate Rescues that provide rescue services
Public Education
Free public education, including education on Responsible Animal Ownership

*Microchipping *How to Locate a Responsible Breeder
*How to pick a Pet *How to Prepare for a New Pet
The above free education is included in the 6 week Puppy S.T.A.R. classes and is also provided
through media (publications, internet) & events, consultation, resource sharing and referrals
*Special Events *Special Visits (i.g. hospitals, schools, other events)
*Public Seminars *Special Demonstrations, free to the public
Education can be fun and teaching animal owners that there are activities that are fun for both the humans and the pets can assist in stronger bonding between them and reduce the number of animals sent to shelters.
Training
Free training classes to the public which also includes the free Public Education listed above
*AKC Puppy S.T.A.R. (Socialization, Training, Activity, Responsibility)-6 week, in-person
AKC Puppy S.T.A.R. Graduates will receive a special Certificate after passing all tests
*Puppy Crate Training - provided through a variety of media (publications, internet) & events
*Basic Obedience - provided through a variety of Media (publications, internet) & events
*Clicker Training - for any animal, provided through consultation, resource sharing & referrals
*Other Animal Training - provided through consultation, resource sharing and referrals
Training can be fun for both the owners and the pets which results in stronger bonding and reduces the number of animals being sent to the shelters.
Facilitate Animal Rescue
Animal Rescue contains many components, some direct services and some indirect services.
We include "some" but not "all" of the services we provide for Rescue on the list below:
*Respond to requests to save animals in crisis that are in need of rescue.
Requests arrive in telephone calls, email, social media and come from shelters, owners and interested parties
*Respond to requests from the public to rehome animals that have special circumstances.
*Investigate circumstances surrounding the request for intervention.
*Pull animals from shelters (this means that the shelters release the animals to us).
*Transport animals to a safe temporary home, foster or permanent, stable, forever home.
*Facilitate other legitimate rescues to conduct rescue for animals brought to our attention.
*Certify members of the community to become Foster homes for rescued animals.
Certification includes viewing the foster homes, reviewing the applications and interviewing the potential foster people.
Certification includes assessing the potential fosters as to the experience level, motivation and best matches for them.
*Assess potential forever owners
This includes reviewing applications, viewing the potential forever homes, motivation, level of seriousness, ability,
experience level, forever plan for the animal if the forever home can't keep the animal and best matches.
*Pay and Provide for Medical Care as Needed (preventative, emergency and maintenance)
*Pay and Provide for Spay/Neuter Services
*Pay and Provide for preventative gastropexy surgeries as behavior and/or breed appropriate
*Provide Assistance to other Rescues (Direct, Indirect and Financial)
Animal Rehabilitation for Animals from Shelters or Rehoming Situations
*Pay for and Provide medical care for unusual medical issues, diseases, surgeries and wound care.
*Provide assessment services for the emotional/behavior needs of animals and formulate plans
*Provide direct emotional/behavior rehabilitation including but not limited to, socialization
*Coordinate and train fosters as to the rehabilitation needs of animals in their care and assist them
Animal Training & Behavior Modification
*Visit Animal Shelters and train animals in their care in order to facilitate forever placements.
*Train animals post temporary/permanent placement in order to prevent returns to the shelter.
*Train animals from rehoming situations
*Specialized Training for unique situations for the public or animals
e.g. therapy animal training, service dog training, elementary school visits, reading by nine, meet & greet,
fun things the public can do with their animals (e.g. dock diving, fast cat, tortoise racing, animals shows, tricks
